Not to be used in the eye, ear, mucous membrane or body cavities.

Prolonged and repeated use may increase risk of hypersensitivity reactions. Blood, soap, cotton or other organic matter may decrease antibacterial efficacy.

Repeated application may lead to skin irritation.

Accidental ingestion may lead to nausea and vomiting, dyspnoea and cyanosis due to paralysis of the respiratory muscles, may also cause asphyxia, depression of the CNS with convulsions, hypertension and coma may occur. Treatment is supportive and includes gastric lavage with water and charcoal.

Description: Cetrimide is a quaternary ammonium antiseptic; it has bactericidal activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Chlorhexidine is an antimicrobial agent; it is active against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive vegetative bacteria, yeasts, dermatophyte fungi and lipophilic viruses.
Pharmacokinetics:
Absorption: Chlorhexidine: Poorly absorbed through the skin.

Store at room temperature.
